Bridges

Missing teeth?

Dental bridges can help to restore aesthetics and function. There are two types of bridges:

  1. Bonded bridges – involving minimal reduction of the neighbouring teeth to anchor a replacement tooth.
  2. Conventional bridges – preparation of neighbouring teeth, which requires full coverage of tooth to anchor a replacement tooth.

Whilst these are options to replace missing teeth, they do come with their risks of failure. Cleaning can be difficult as food may become trapped underneath the

replacement teeth and margins. But with good oral care and effective cleaning regime, a bridge can last many years.
